Dear Valued Chamber Member,
After extensive research and discussion the St Andrews Chamber has decided to make some changes to our membership structure, which we feel will eliminate confusion, improve administration and be more beneficial to our members in the long term.
Currently membership dues are invoiced in December and memberships run from January 1 to December 31. This current arrangement presents a couple of issues.
- This does not align with the Chamber’s fiscal year (October 1 to September 30) and limits our ability to invest in member initiatives during the opportune months of October and November.
- During December & January many Chamber Member businesses close for the season, or business owners head out of town making contact more difficult.
- December & January are typically lower revenue generating months and not an ideal time for members to be dealing with additional expenses.
To address these issues the Chamber has decided to adjust membership dues to align with our fiscal year end.
Membership invoices will now be sent in September and memberships will run from October 1 to September 30.
All members in good standing will receive a rebate of 25% to account for the dues already paid for October 2026 to December 2026, which will be applied to their September invoice.
The Chamber Membership Committee has also worked on clarifying our different membership tiers and the benefits attributed to each of them including additional business listings. Please take a moment to review the attached Membership Tiers document as you may wish to alter or update your current membership tier.
